Onegai shimasu Hanshi, Kyoshi and fellow Deshi of Ueshiro Shorin Ryu
Karate USA:

Several weeks ago I had the good fortune of being able to train at Ueshiro
Northfield Shorin Ryu Karate Dojo in Minnesota. The training was hosted
by Sensei Robert Dobrow and the classes were conducted by Hanshi Robert
Scaglione and Kyoshi Kaplan and Kyoshi Sal Scaglione. In addition to the
incredible sharing by Hanshi and the Kyoshi I took away a renewed spirit
and sense of bonding with the Minnesota deshi and others that travelled to
Northfield. I reflected on the ability to travel to Minnesota, walk on
the training deck and have a common passion with so many people, many of
whom I had only met for the first time. We were all there together to
learn share and move our training of Ueshiro Shorin Ryu forward.

So my thought for the week is to encourage all of you between now and the
end of the year to visit at least one other dojo. It will be one of the
best training experiences of your year.
