"Always
Show Courtesy to all"
Red book, Page 84
DOJO RULES #1 and #14
A very important paragraph related to this important rule can be
read on page 53 of the Red Book.
"The teaching of humility is of much greater importance than
the teaching of physical techniques. This is why we bow and show
respect for others in the dojo. Bowing is a ritual courtesy displayed
during karate practice, but it is also an important aspect of our
training which must extend beyond the practice and beyond the dojo.
We become stronger and more powerful in the true sense of the word
through our deeds and through respect for ourselves and for others."
Regardless of your rank, we must all continue to show courtesy.
During the course of one class, you can never say "ARIGATO"
too many times. Try it out!
Arigato!
