Stepping Forward
In most of our moves, only one foot steps to a new position. The other
foot
generally pivots to a new angle but rarely moves to a new spot. This
way of
stepping yields stronger foundation in transition because we usually
have
one foot solidly on the ground. In addition, this footwork is simple
(not
fancy) and, thus, in keeping with Shorin-Ryus general
emphasis on natural
movement. There are exceptions, but they are rare.
Keep stepping forward.
Domo arigato gozaimasu to all.
