"F2"The difficult techniques of F2. The details re: posture, stance and hand/arm/foot offensive and defensive particulars are described in all three texts of our style, in the videos (of oneself or others) and in numerous thought and technique bulletins posted in our dojo. We need to refer to the information. Discussion and input from the instructors, re: observation and demonstration, are invaluable tools, as is the mirror. The kicks of F2 are executed as described with particular attention to the MAXIMUM return of the kicking foot re: velocity and return distance. The opposite arm REMAINS in the chest block position, exactly, until after stepping first and creating a foundation, this opposite arm then complements the elbow strike which is delivered STRAIGHT in and forward. The hand of the striking arm terminates forward of the ear to allow the elbow maximum penetration through the intended target. The second series of difficult techniques of F2 are the double block and double punch. Exactly describing the techniques (without pause) is crucial, especially in the timing and placement of the blocking arms and punching hands. We initiate with the stepping foot, then chamber the block, step first while continuing without pause to the chambered fists, to the double punch. Fluid motion throughout is most important.
