Dissecting The Moves
Exploring the principals of each technique by breaking each
move down into two parts. Take your favorite kata and perform
each move using two counts for every move.
Example: F-1(the first move) on the Ichi, lower, step out ,
chamber and root down with a pause...get set (adjust
the posture, feet, arms, hands, hips, head) root down
then on the Ni count, deliver the block from the hip....the
feet do NOT move. The feet were positioned exactly in
place on the Ichi count.
Repeat the above two count exercise for the next twenty moves.
Include the Yoi (ready position).
Keep training.
