JANUARY 26, 1998 HEIGHT Each stance has a specific height described. In the movement from one stance to another it is most important to "time" the change. The difference in height is important in order to express the maximum concentration of power in the technique. The change in height must be explosive. When the next move is executed without a stance change then the height remains exactly as is without any "bobbing" up and down. Pages 44 to 46 of the "green book" describe in detail the principals of the stances, movements and changes in height. The theory is described on page 46. Arigato, Kyoshi Robert Scaglione. |
